PV Students Gear Up for Homecoming Week, Showcasing Hornet Pride
Passaic Valley geared up for Homecoming during the week of September 26th. To kick off the week, the Passaic Valley Student Senate organized Spirit Week and grade level class officers brought back the Penny Wars fundraising competition. On Friday, September 30, the Fall Pep Rally took place on Walton Field, the first on the new turf, where the Homecoming football game would be held later that evening.

Swarm Up and Spike Down Cancer: Spike Ball Tournament to Be Held in Honor of Dominic Cappello
On Saturday, June 18th at 5 p.m., the Superintendent Ambassadors will host a Spike Ball tournament in honor of Dominic Cappello to generate support and raise money as 6-year old “Dom” begins treatment. The event will be held on the brand new turf field.

19 of PV Photographers Participate in Pingry High School's 26th Annual Student Photo Exhibition
19 of Passaic Valley’s photography students were selected to submit their work to Pingry High School’s annual Student Exhibition in the Hostetter Gallery. The exhibit began on February 18, 2022 and continued until March 26, 2022.

After Being Virtual for Two Years, The PV Art Show Is Back for In-Person Viewing on May 24th
After a two-year hiatus from gallery viewing due to COVID-19, the PV Art Show has returned to its traditional format for 2022. In the past weeks, students and art teachers have worked hard preparing their showcase. The Art Show will be available for public viewing on May 24th from 7-9pm in the Farrell Gym.

“Diversified in the Sky”, a Cultural Celebration, Takes Flight in Ms. Czepiel's Art Classes
Students in Ms. Corine Czepiel’s Art Exploration and 3D Designs classes created hot air balloons to promote cultural awareness. “Diversified in the Sky” is exhibited in Room 149, displaying a variety of flags to represent different cultures, making students and staff feel acknowledged and welcomed.

New Superintendent Ambassadors Program Provides Students With a Voice
Superintendent Mr. Bracken Healy has implemented a Superintendent Ambassador program for the 2021-2022 school year. A committee of twelve students, with three representatives from each grade level, meets monthly with Mr. Healy and staff, representing the voice of the student body.

Construction Crew Breaks Ground On New Track and Turf Field Project
Construction on the new Track and Turf Field Project started in December. Superintendent Mr. Bracken Healy took to his Instagram page, sharing pictures of construction along with the new track and turf field plan to announce the project which is anticipated to wrap up in May.

Dr. Adam Christopher returned to Passaic Valley, his alma mater, as the New Assistant Principal in November. His expertise in STEM will help bolster our math and science departments. He will also focus on enhancing our Career and Technical Education programs to create more pathways for everyone.

Seniors Sophia Bermudez, Maggie Velkoska, Jordan Newbury, and Brianna Eppler have organized a clothing drive to help women and children in need within our community. They are collecting new or gently used winter clothing for women and children through November 30.
