Passaic Valley Guidance Department

CEEB code:  310700

  • The Guidance Department is a comprehensive and innovative center which provides students in grades 9 through 12 with academic, social/emotional, career and post-secondary counseling. The department consists of a director, five school counselors and two administrative assistants. All members of the department are skilled practitioners in the delivery of guidance services and are dedicated to helping students reach their greatest potential within an optimum learning environment. Since the counselors work with their assigned students from grades 9-12, an effective, dynamic relationship can be established to help promote maximum achievement.

As educators, we know that communication is key to a student's success in school. School counselors advocate, mediate, coordinate, consult, and collaborate with teachers, administrators and families. Our counselors are always available to meet with families and discuss individual needs.
