NAHS Collects 20 Grocery Bags Worth of Goods During Soup-er Bowl Food Drive

Students creating donation boxes; photo credit: Ms. Ingraham Students creating donation boxes; Ms. Ingraham Throughout the month of January, the National Art Honor Society collected 20 grocery bags worth of canned goods, which were then donated to the Human Needs Food Pantry, in their eighth annual Soup-er Bowl Canned Food Drive.

Students creating donation boxes; photo credit: Ms. Ingraham Finished donation boxes; photo credit: Ms. Ingraham Club Advisor Ms. Carolyn Ingraham volunteers at the Human Needs Food Pantry and created the “Soup-er Bowl'' as a fun and creative way for students to aid those less fortunate. “As a student, it was a pleasant surprise to see how many of us actually went out of their way to collect food for our drive” said NAHS member Fabian Gallego ‘21.

NAHS has been running the food drive for eight years. In this time, the student designed and hand-crafted donation boxes have become a mainstay in the Library and Main Office.

Though NAHS is no longer accepting donations for this year's drive, Ms. Ingraham plans to remain involved with the community through the club.
