A school district that receives Title I funds must implement programs, activities and procedures for the involment of parents in programs assisted by Title I funding.

The Elementary and Secondary Education Act is our country’s most important education law. This law was revised and is now called, The No Child Left Behind Act. No Child Left Behind (NCLB) was designed to make changes in teaching and learning that will help our students achieve more in school.

On September 15, 2016 the Passaic Valley Regional High School teachers will have meetings at night in which they will discuss curriculum, the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) and how they will work with your child to facilitate your child’s passing that test.

Under the federal “No Child Left Behind” Act, public high schools must give the names, addresses and telephone numbers of students to military recruiters, college/university recruiters and prospective employers if the recruiters request the information (P.L. 107-110, Section 9528;10 USC 503).

In order to maximize high-quality curriculum and instruction in a supportive and effective learning environment that enables students to meet the State’s performance standards, both parents and school will agree to partnership toward this goal.
