The boy's varsity soccer team has had an astonishing run this season, accomplishing a 9-3-1 record and becoming the Big North Independence Division Champions. Taking the top seed in the County Tournament, the team will face Passaic High School this weekend at home (Saturday, October 14th, at 10am). After hitting his 100th career-coaching win this season, Coach Mike Couden and his players have high hopes for this exciting opportunity.

"Right now, we are doing excellent! We are big champions," said Cris Carnemolla '18, one of the team's captains. "We are also first seed in county's, so I am hoping that we go far in that."

The Passaic High School Indians defeated West Milford on October 7th by a score of 6-1. This secured their place to play against Passaic Valley for Saturday.Passaic Valley team-mates during a game

Within the same week, while looking forward to the county tournament, PV defeated Fair Lawn High School (4-3) on Tuesday, October 10th. Although this was a non-conference game, it still built up momentum going into future matchups.

On Thursday, October 12th, PV rose victorious against West Milford in a Big North Conference game (7-0). During the game, Carnemolla, Facundo Frascolla '19, and Ali Alhau '18 each scored two goals. Jacob Leonard '18 had one goal and one assist.

Passaic Valley remains the top seed in the Passaic County Tournament and winning against Passaic guarantees a spot in the semifinals. If PV wins on Saturday, they will progress against either Hawthorne Christian or Pompton Lakes. The semifinals game will be held at Wayne Valley High School on Saturday, October 21st, at 3:30pm.
